How to get there: - Grid Reference 805936. Take the slip road for Tolpuddle and Affpuddle off the dual carriage way about 2 miles west of Bere Regis. Follow the signs to Affpuddle and Briantspuddle for a mile then at a sharp left-hand bend, turn right for Affpuddle and after 100 metres, park by the Church on your right.

• Head back to the junction you came from to the bend. Go straight across and then bear left towards Briantspuddle after 200 metres.

• Go down into Briantspuddle and to the crossroads (½ mile).

• Turn right, go up through the village and proceed up to the next crossroads (½ mile), staying left at the fork just before the junction

• Cross straight over and continue for ½ mile until you meet a road from your left, then bear right down to the T junction (1/3 mile).

• Here, you go straight across onto Moreton Drive, a traffic-free track and continue, over the River Frome ford, past Moreton Church ((Lawrence of Arabia’s final resting place) and into Moreton (1 ½ miles).

• Turn right here and after about 100 metres, bear right and continue to the main road (1 mile).

• Turn right and follow the main road back to the Affpuddle junction and bear left back to Affpuddle Church (2 ½ miles).
